MSDO 2026: Connecting with Municipal Leaders Across Canada
Earlier this month, Brandon, Rhonda, and Bonnie headed to Caledon for the Municipal Service Delivery Officials Conference, a gathering of service delivery professionals from across Canada. Three days of workshops, keynotes, and networking. Three days of connecting with people doing the actual work.
Connected with Service Leaders Across the Country
Being in a room full of municipal service leaders doing the hard work of transformation was the real takeaway. Brandon, attending MSDO for the first time, put it this way: "It was inspiring to be around so many municipal service leaders on the front lines of service transformation. That drive to make things better, without always having the budget or political runway to do it easily, is exactly what Perry Group was built to support."
The conference brought together service champions from coast to coast. Bonnie reflected on the experience: "MSDO 2026 in the beautiful hills of Caledon brought together service champions from coast to coast. Proud to represent Perry Group as a partner in building better municipalities."
The Same Struggles, Everywhere
What became clear fast: municipalities across Canada are wrestling with similar issues. Customer service demands. Resource constraints. The need for genuine collaboration. Rhonda summed it up: "Real service modernization wins, genuine collaboration, and sponsors who get municipal challenges. That's the value of a community built to move things forward."
We Get It Because We've Been There
Here's what matters: Perry Group isn't theorizing about municipal challenges from the outside. Our consultants have worked inside municipalities as IT directors, as CAOs, as the people making decisions with real constraints. When we talk about budget limitations and political runway, we're not guessing. We've lived it.
That's why the connections made at MSDO mattered. We weren't there to sell. We were there to understand, to listen, and to remind people that there are partners who actually get what you're dealing with.
The Dragon's Den Moment
And then there was the evening Dragon's Den pitch. Brandon stepped up and pitched Perry Group to the Dragons, showing what we do and why it matters. It was a solid moment for the firm, putting our value right in front of the room.
We're already looking forward to being back at MSDO next year. If you were there and want to continue the conversation, get in touch. And if you weren't, mark your calendar.
