Prasanna Gunasekera is a Senior Consultant with Perry Group and a recognized expert in municipal business systems and business process design.
Prior to joining Perry Group, Prasanna was Senior Manager, Business Solutions at the City of Brampton, where he led a broad portfolio of enterprise systems, including Planning, Permitting, Development Tracking, and Building Permitting. He project managed the implementation of Brampton’s Development Tracking and Building Permitting system (PlanTRAK - later adopted by the Region of Peel), and previously served as an Amanda project manager, administrator, and lead developer delivering a wide range of Permitting and Planning solutions.
Since joining Perry Group, Prasanna has played key roles in major municipal initiatives, including the YorkTrax project at York Region and the Development Tracking project at the Region of Waterloo, where he led RFP development, vendor selection, and implementation support.
Prasanna brings extensive hands-on experience in business process re-engineering and service design, having led over 350 process optimization exercises across municipalities. His work has focused heavily on Development Approvals processes for clients including Fort Erie, Lincoln, Middlesex County, Orillia, Windsor, Waterloo, Cambridge, Thunder Bay, and South Huron.
He is a highly effective facilitator with deep knowledge of municipal operations, service design and business process optimization.
