The challenge
Middlesex County needed to understand its cybersecurity posture and build resilience against disruption to public services. Like many counties, it had to do this within the budget, legacy system and staffing constraints typical of a municipal IT function.
What we did
Perry Group delivered a business continuity and disaster recovery strategy, then assessed the County against the NIST Cybersecurity Framework and developed a cybersecurity strategy and BCDR plan. We returned to refresh the business continuity plan, keeping the material current rather than letting it go stale.
The outcome
The County holds a BCDR strategy, a NIST-based cybersecurity assessment and strategy, a BCDR plan and a refreshed business continuity plan. The sustained relationship gave Perry Group a working understanding of the County's environment, priorities and risk posture.
