A five-year IT Master Plan for a small mountain municipality, delivered with separate Council and governance reporting.
The challenge
Jasper needed a clear, long-range view of its technology direction rather than year-to-year decisions. As a single-tier municipality serving under 25,000 residents, it had to set priorities that matched a small team's capacity and budget.
What we did
Perry Group ran a discovery phase covering interviews, workshops and a kickoff with municipal leadership, and surveyed all staff on IT satisfaction. We assessed the current environment, developed a governance framework, and built a five-year plan sequenced to what the municipality could realistically deliver.
The outcome
The municipality received a five-year Information Technology Master Plan, a supporting governance framework, and a final report prepared for Council. The engagement produced both a public Council-facing report and internal governance material.
