The challenge
Smiths Falls had real building blocks in place but clear gaps alongside them: uneven online services, manual processes, minimal integration, weak Wi-Fi and unreliable VPN at several facilities, aging hardware without a lifecycle, and high resilience risk with no tested business impact analysis or disaster recovery plan and no alternate site.
What we did
Perry Group assessed the current environment and built a plan that addresses foundational needs first, covering stability, security, data and resident-facing experiences, then staged the roadmap to prepare the Town for automation, analytics and AI. We applied a Run, Grow and Transform portfolio balance and linked the plan to Council's Strategic Priorities.
The outcome
The Town received an IT Strategic Plan with a staged roadmap, a Run, Grow and Transform portfolio balance, and direct linkage to Council's Strategic Priorities.
