A digital strategy that repositioned IT as a corporate function, with a new governance model and elevated leadership role.
The challenge
Thunder Bay's technology function needed genuine modernization and a more corporate footing. The position of IT within the organization limited how strategically it could operate.
What we did
Perry Group reviewed IT services and the IT organization, designed a new governance model, and set out a more corporate approach to technology. We recommended raising the senior IT role from Manager to IT Director.
The outcome
The City received a digital strategy with a new governance model, a more corporate approach to technology, and an elevated IT leadership position.
